Just five months out of drama school and we are proud to announce that Michael has got himself a part at the
National Theatre for this spring season.
After a series of auditions involving Russian and very long sentences he has recently been offered the part of
Andrushya (a tank officer) in
Burnt By The Sun. The play - to be performed on the
Lyttelton stage - follows a young tank officer as he struggles to... Okay, not really. It's about the personal struggle of revolutionary hero Colonel Kotov, in a country about to be overcome by the dark shadow of Stalin's purges. A good rib-tickling comedy we expect then...
You can read more - and book a ticket -
here. You can also see Michael's name in the cast list - you know... in case you thought we were making it up...
We wish Michael the best of luck with the rehearsals - which luckily leave enough time for us to keep working on 'Adventure Time' - and our new show for this year - more details soon.

Michael Gets Freudian
posted by Tom Crawshaw on Tuesday, 9 December 2008
(Our very own) Michael Grady-Hall will be appearing in the
staged reading of Nicky Silvers dark comedy, as part of StoneCrabs' New Directors Play Readings 2008. It's
this Thursday (the 11th December) at the
Albany Theatre in
Deptford - sorry about the short notice.
He will be playing Bishop (the lead) in a piece called
Fat Men In Skirts (or
How I Ate My Father And Slept With My Mother) by Nicky Silver, dir. Victor Essess. Anyone wondering how that state of affairs is reached (such as myself) should get along - I believe it is pretty cheap but Michael doesn't know for sure. We'll see you there!

in fair Verona....
posted by Tom Crawshaw on Sunday, 24 August 2008
Well, the very day after
Auditorium ends, Michael starts his run of
Romeo and Juliet in London.
After a week of previews tonight is the Press Night for
Theatre of Memory's production. (And, in case you wondered, that's why Michael wasn't in Edinburgh).
If you haven't quite had your fix of
Three's Company, pop along to
Middle Temple Hall to see one third of them in Shakespeare's greatest love story.
All the
best of luck to Michael and the rest of the cast!
Romeo and Juliet ends on 13th September.Labels: michael

A Man of Certain Age
posted by Tom Crawshaw on Wednesday, 2 May 2007
Congratulations to Michael who was today announced as the
winner of the 'Best Direction' award at this years
Lost Theatre: One Act Theatre Festival. He won for his direction on the
Three's Company and
fragile theatre co-production of
A Woman of Uncertain Age. This si the second solo award for Michael - and the seventh for
Three's Company.
The play, written by Maggie Dealey, will be performed again at the
Tristan Bates Theatre on
May 20th where he will collect his award from Alison Steadman.
In other news,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Yaz who reaches the grand age of
21 today! I was going to say "congratulations" but all he really did was stay alive... Though considering his accident-prone nature, maybe that does deserve congratulations...?
